Last Friday, in the heart of London we enjoyed a night to remember hosting the Portico People Awards at the HAC—an evening dedicated to recognising and celebrating the outstanding contributions of our Portico people. Our theme for 2023 was 'From the Heart,' resonating with the genuine dedication and remarkable efforts that have defined our culture and vision throughout this year.
After a sparkling drinks reception at the stunning Prince Consort Room at the historic Honourable Artillery Company in the City, the awards unfolded spotlighting the incredible individuals and teams that have left an indelible mark on Portico this year. Our winners and finalists are the trailblazers, the innovators, and the trendsetters who have not only fuelled our growth but have also become the driving force that make Portico.
It was the perfect night to highlight the exceptional work of our team, ranging from exceptional customer service to resourceful initiatives that foster team spirit and encourage clients back into the office.
With thundering applause from over 300 Portico attendees, a huge thanks to everyone who attended and made the event such a success. Among the nearly 400 submissions, the judging committee had the challenging task of selecting winners who truly embodied dedication, innovation, and excellence.

A special mention goes to the winners of the Team of the Year award, a category in which our teams have been so impressive this year that one winner simply couldn’t suffice with three exceptional teams taking home the title—Goldman Sachs, ISG, and FCA. Their collective efforts have set new standards for collaboration and achievement at Portico and we’re excited to see what our teams.
The Heart Award: Ivell Arnold, FCA
The grand finale of the night, the Portico Heart Award, was a crescendo that celebrated the incredible Portico team member and unsung hero of the business: Ivell Arnold from FCA. Unlike other awards, this one is special - it's not bestowed by a panel but by our Portico People.
The Heart Award was set up to celebrate those who often quietly and without seeking recognition and go out of their way to uplift their colleagues to make a genuine difference in our workplace. Ivell’s heart-led leadership exemplifies the essence of this award.
Perfectly summing up the evening, our head of Learning and Development and the compere for the evening, David Bevens shares: "This was my first Portico People Awards, a celebration of an amazing year, incredible efforts, and a location befitting the heartfelt excellence we recognised. It was fantastic to reconnect, applaud the winners, and toast to another year of heartfelt brilliance. Cheers to success and sequins – lots of sequins!"
