Chris Mitchell, CEO
As the CEO of both The Genuine Dining Co. and Portico, I’m lucky enough to run two dynamic hospitality brands under WSH. Since founding Genuine Dining in 2011, I have focused on driving operational excellence and innovation, growing the business to over 80 sites before its acquisition in 2024.
Now, as CEO of Portico, I bring my people-first leadership to the guest relations sector, enhancing service standards and client experiences. I’m passionate about fostering a culture of excellence and challenging industry norms to deliver outstanding hospitality and building strong customer relationships.
Matt Bowers, Managing Director
I’ve always admired the Portico brand, so joining the business has been incredibly exciting. With around 20 years’ experience across hospitality, guest services, and the FM industry, I’ve seen first-hand what great service looks like at its best.
From the very beginning, what’s really stood out to me is how connected our people are – to their clients, to each other, and to the Portico values. There’s a genuine sense of pride and happiness across the business, and I’ve felt welcomed everywhere I’ve been.
Hanna Barrett, Operations Director
A long-standing member of the Portico family, I began my Portico career in 2006 as a Receptionist. I was promoted to Operations Director in 2017 and work to support and develop our guest services alongside our expert Operations Managers.
Armed with a natural curiosity, I champion positive change within my client locations through coaching and mentoring. I’m also responsible for our Learning & Development Academy, having launched this in 2011.
Oliver Hiner, Operations Director
I joined the Portico family in 2015 to lead a new group account and have since gone on to lead some of our largest client locations, having been promoted to Operations Director in 2019.
I’m a huge advocate for championing culture change throughout our business with a focus on service development, innovation and challenging the status quo. Nurturing talent and inspiring others to excel is one of my strengths and I continue to drive our quality metrics for Portico.
Richard O'Keefe, Business Development Director
In my role, I work closely with our industry and our clients, listening first to truly understand their challenges, priorities, and ambitions – so we can shape Portico solutions that work in real life, not just on paper. I’m passionate about creating environments where people feel proud of what they deliver.
With close to 20 years in premium hospitality, my experience spans luxury hotels and corporate environments, from on-site leadership and multi-site operations through to strategic, client-wide delivery. That journey has given me a practical, well-rounded view of what exceptional service looks like at every level.
Candice Van Antwerp, Head of People
My role is dedicated to empower our employees to do their best, enhance engagement and development opportunities, and create a positive employee journey. I have oversight of the overall HR function, TUPE transfers and onboarding, in accordance to our Company policies and official legislation.
Dr David Bevens, Head of Learning and Development
My role encompasses driving and championing the Portico Learning & Development Academy. From analysing our learning needs to designing, delivering, and evaluating programs, I ensure alignment with our values, prioritising engaging, interactive, and relatable learning experiences.
Additionally, I spearhead the development of commercial learning products for external markets, leveraging our team’s extensive expertise to benefit both Portico and our clients.
Catherine Palm, People Manager
I began my career in retail and luxury customer experience with brands like Harrods, where I got under the skin of great, personalised service. I later moved into corporate guest services with Portico, progressing into regional roles and leading operational performance, partnerships and colleague engagement across multiple sites.
As Portico’s People Manager, I’m focused on enhancing the employee experience. My priorities include evolving our market-leading onboarding experience, refining our people platforms, and supporting events to strengthen our culture, pride in Service with Heart, and deeper people connections across the brand.
