Introducing Love, Immersive & Experience

We have recently concluded a project which saw us deep dive into our business with the simple objective to review and update our values.

Why?  Because our business and our sector has changed so much these past few years and we have adapted our approach to what we do and how we deliver our service. A business ‘values’ project requires lots of thought and many opinions which is why we invited an army of Portico people, at all levels, to help us. We also asked an independent third party to solicit feedback directly from our clients and customers.

What we learnt is that Portico is so much more than a guest services company.  It became very clear to us that, first and foremost, we are a people business. Our people, our clients and our customers all shared similar stories of leadership, pride, growth, ownership and engagement. These stories allowed us to identify three consistent themes which formed our new values which capture the very essence of our business, our culture and what we consistently strive to achieve at Portico.

Love

Our people culture has always been and will continue to be at the very heart of our business.  It’s part of our DNA and we work hard every day to develop this.

Our culture empowers our people to flourish by adding their own unique personality into the heart of the service they deliver to our customers and clients and their colleagues. Happy, autonomy, pride, individuality, natural, flexible and empowered were the consistent words used to describe our people. Selecting “love” was therefore an easy choice to capture this within our values and to cement the commitment we have towards our people. Ensuring that we always prioritise their wellbeing, personal development, enjoyment and that we create a sense of belonging for everyone at Portico.

Immersive

“Immersive” can mean many things.  For us, it’s about understanding the individuality of our clients so that we can become the custodians of their brand.

Our client focus will always be to echo their brand values though our service and to create an environment where our people are empowered to take ownership for developing tailored solutions.  Solutions which dovetail into our client’s own objectives and ambitions – a truly ‘one size fits one’ approach. Our immersive approach and the autonomy and flexibility we provide to our people is the foundation we use to achieve this.  We get to know our clients’ business on a much deeper level which allows us to promote ideas, to adapt quickly and to seek solutions before challenges arise.
