The Future of Front of House

Where is our industry heading? What is our vision for the future?   Themed the ‘Future of Front of House’ our Annual Conference was designed to provide a step into our future vision for Our People.   We created a collaborative day of inspiring talks, workshops and events. Held at the Museum of London in the City, our people enjoyed the sunny day filled with exciting programmes, giving exposure to our vision, our senior leadership team and specialist experts.   Speakers included Edward Griffiths, our Chairman, who gave an insight into service at Buckingham Palace.  Tim Axe, Commercial Director of Benugo, who shared our joint vision of the future of hospitality and welcome services.   Our leadership team took a share of the talks.  Amanda Baber, our Business Development Director, introduced our 2020 technology and innovation roadmap. Simon Pratt, our Managing Director, discussed our Trusted Partner model and Graham Johnstone, Head Concierge of a prime residential development, shared our approach to human connections within our client service.   Our keynote speaker, Simon Thomas, Head Concierge of The Lanesborough and International President of the ‎Les Clefs d'Or, shared fantastic insights around creating extraordinary service moments and invited our people to experience the future of concierge services.   Portico People enjoyed the interactive workshops at our Career station, Training & Development, Wellbeing, Benefits and Tech hubs, as well sharing inspiring moments with guide dog owners and their puppies, in support for our chosen charity Guide Dogs for the Blind. Portico People also had the chance to step into the world of Portico Lifestyle, our fantastic online Concierge solution, and enjoy one-to-one time with members of our Senior Leadership team.   Joined by our sister companies, BaxterStorey provided nutrition workshops to help Portico People balance their diets and lifestyle, while Benugo provided healthy sweet treats and rewards for Our People.
