We’re excited to announce that we’ve been nominated for not one, but two awards at this year’s Foodservice Cateys Awards. Our Portico People at Deutsche Bank and News UK have both made the shortlist for the Front of House Team of the Year.

The team at News UK are exceeding all expectations in agility and proactiveness during a five month period of constant change when 4 radio stations moved into the News Building.  The Wireless Group consists of Virgin Radio, talkSPORT, talkSPORT2 and talkRADIO.  Our team have truly gone ‘above and beyond’ to facilitate a smooth transition for the presenters and their VIP guests.

Deutsche Bank is a story of continuous improvement at the highest level further to our appointment in 2017. The team’s commitment and dedication are exceptional and inspirational within Portico. They have truly transformed the guest services to a world-class standard.

The award is open to teams that work in front of house in all sectors of the contract and local authority foodservice industry, including event catering, staff dining, leisure and reception services. With so much competition within guest services, it’s a tough category to be recognised in, and a fantastic achievement – we are so proud of everyone involved.

‘It’s a great honour for our people to shortlisted for this award category. Fingers crossed!
We can’t wait until October to find out who the winners are.’ – Paul Jackson

More than 60 industry judges met at the Genuine Dining Company site Spaces on London’s City Road to debate and draw up the list of high-achieving businesses and individuals. Winning a Catey is so significant because recipients are nominated, selected and rewarded by their peers. The winning entry focuses on the last 12 months and will demonstrate a commitment to outstanding service, excellent communication skills and a relentless desire to deliver a service to clients and/or customers that goes ‘above and beyond’ – this is a great testament to everyone’ at Portico’s commitment to outstanding service.
