Now in its 6th year, the UK Employee Experience Awards reward outstanding initiatives that have improved the world of work. The Awards have been accredited with the Gold Standard from the Independent Awards Standards Council, meeting all 18 criteria to qualify for the highest trust mark possible.
In January this year we submitted our nominations for two Awards: Employee-Centric Company and Delivering Customer Experience. We faced stiff competition with companies such as Sky, AstraZeneca, McLaren and Quilter Old Mutual all hoping to win on the day.
The awards presentations and ceremony took place over Zoom on Thursday 10th September and we were delighted to be recognised for our achievements.
Employee-Centric Company
This award is for organisations placing the employee at the heart of everything they do, boosting customer retention and profits through their focus on employees. Our presentation focused on the culture of portico and the people strategy to create engagement and pride through reward and recognition. Being crowned the winners of this category cements our continued commitment to our Portico people.
Delivering Customer Experience
As Richard Branson said, ‘if you take care of your employees, they will take care of the clients.’ This award recognises that connection, and rewards initiatives that have enhanced customer experience through improved employee experience. Our entry for this award focused on our service habits and behaviours and how we have linked these into the everyday customer experience. We were honoured with silver place in this category.
Overall Winner
The final award was for the overall winner of the UK Employee Experience Awards. This is for the entry which received the highest score of all 67 entries and included the written submission and live presentation. We were overwhelmed to win this incredible honour and take home the trophy for the overall winner of the day.
