Portico Win FOH Team of the Year

We are delighted to share that our Portico People at Deutsche Bank have been awarded the ‘Front of House Team of the Year’ at this year’s Food Service Catey’s Award.

Hosted by hospitality magazine The Caterer, the awards ceremony at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge saw hundreds of industry colleagues and leaders attend the dazzling, black-tie event last Friday. The awards recognise and celebrates the individual trailblazers and innovative companies that make an impact upon the hospitality sector.

Up against some of the leading FOH teams across the UK, our Portico people, led by Reception Service Manager Grace Moll was awarded the Front of House Team of the Year to a standing ovation.

Since our contract award in 2017, the Portico team have gone above and beyond to transform the guest experience and create a truly unique client journey. The past four years have been an ongoing journey of change, service improvement, innovation and team engagement, which led the team to their ultimate win to a standing ovation.

The award is open to teams that work in front of house in all sectors of the contract and local authority foodservice industry, including event catering, staff dining, leisure and reception services. With so much competition within guest services, it’s a tough category to be recognised in, and a fantastic achievement – we are so proud of everyone involved.

Following the award Grace Moll, Reception Services Manager said:
‘I’m absolutely thrilled that the Team have been recognised for their exceptional hard work. This award has been won by every single member and I am very proud of each and every one of them.”

Winning a Catey is so significant because recipients are nominated, selected and rewarded by their peers. The winning entry focuses on the last 12 months and demonstrated a commitment to outstanding service, excellent communication skills and a relentless desire to deliver a service to clients and/or customers that goes ‘above and beyond’ and is a great testament to our commitment to outstanding service.
