We’re delighted to be one of the 48 recipients to achieve the Princess Royal Training Awards standard in 2021 for our commitment to training and development.
Currently in its sixth year, The Princess Royal Training Awards recognise and celebrate organisations across the United Kingdom which have demonstrated exceptional commitment to training and development. Despite facing unprecedented challenges due to Covid-19, the organisations receiving this standard of excellence have created and delivered highly engaging training programmes which have resulted in significant measurable impact.
When the pandemic hit, we quickly re-imagined our learning programmes taking full advantage of digital learning and introducing bite-sized sessions to engage our people and keep our learning culture alive. We also used this time to develop our 5 Pathways and introduce our fabulous new online learning platform.
What the judges said:
Portico wanted to create a people-centred approach to training and developed the 5 Pathways solution as a way of providing career development options for all. This approach has significantly improved access to training and empowered people to decide which pathway to follow. There has been a 135% uplift in training, and it has led to a 4.76 out of 5 average staff satisfaction score.
Kirstie Donnelly MBE, Chief Executive of the City & Guilds Group said: “The last 18 months have caused disruption to the way most organisations operate which has led to major changes for all of us in how we live and work. Despite these challenges, it’s fantastic to see so many organisations’ continued commitment to training and development as well as the positive and life changing impact learning can have on people.”
